Deck Builder Frankston & Mornington Peninsula

G'day, I'm Mark from Kaymar Construction. I'm a local carpenter based in Frankston, and building decks is the work I enjoy most. I quote every job myself and I build it myself, so the person you talk to on day one is the person on the tools.

I build new decks in hardwood timber like Merbau, and in composite, including Ekodeck. Timber gives you that classic warm look. Composite is low-maintenance: no oiling, no splinters, and it holds its colour. If you can't decide, I'll quote both so you can compare side by side.

A lot of my work is deck replacement. If your old deck has gone soft, the boards are gapped and splintery, or the subfloor has given up, I'll pull it out, check what's underneath, rebuild the frame where it's needed and lay new boards. Recently that's meant a new hardwood deck and step in Berwick, an Ekodeck composite replacement in a Berwick backyard, and a Merbau front deck wrapped around a brick home.

I also build the bits that finish a deck off properly: steps and stairs, balustrades, built-in bench seats, privacy screens and decks under alfresco roofs.

Before any work starts you get a clear written quote that spells out the boards, the size, the steps and any extras, so there are no surprises. I keep the site tidy while I work and clean up properly when I'm done.

I work across Frankston, Langwarrin, Mount Eliza, Mornington, Mount Martha, Seaford, Carrum Downs and Chelsea, and out to Berwick, Cranbourne and Narre Warren.
